This is a very Simple Refreshing Drink which has an excellent soothing effect in this summer. Moreover for the weight watchers it is an excellent drink. The process of making is super simple.
Here comes the method of making Refreshing Orange Smoothie:
Ingredients:
- Oranges: 2( Peeled)
- Ice: 1/2 Cup
- Milk:1/3 Cup( Soy, Low Fat or Full Cream or Coconut, I used vanilla Soy Milk)
- Honey ( or Sugar):2 Tbsp
- Vanilla Essence: 1tsp( As I used vanilla flavour soy milk I didn't use vanilla essence)
- Orange Zest: Zest of half orange.
Method:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender, and blend until smooth. Add more ice if you would like.
- Serve immediately.
- For my little one I served it with a big scoop of ice cream.

Pinna Colada is a sweet, rum-based cocktail made with rum, cream of coconut, and pineapple juices, usually served either blended or shaken with ice. It may be garnished with a pineapple wedge or cherry. There are many places where pinna colada is made with banana also.
Like the other smoothie and shakes Pinna Colada also has very high carbohydrate and fat content . But I tried to minimise it's calorie in a simple way.
Here is the process:
Ingredients:
- Pine Apple Chunks( Frozen Pine Apple may also be used): 1 Cup
- Unsweetened Coconut Milk( Low Fat): 1/4 cup
- Banana:1 or 1/2
- Ice Cubes:1/2 Cup
- Zero Calorie Sweetner : 1 tsp.( Optional)
- Rum Extract: 1 tsp. ( optional, I didn't use)
- Topping: Unsweetened ,shredded coconut flakes.
Direction:
In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth. Top the smoothie and the sides of the glass with coconut flakes. Serve Immediately.

This refreshing extreme low calorie smoothie will give you more energy and refreshment to beat the heat. Moreover the process is very easy yet having a great taste.
Here is the process:
Ingredients:
- Watermelon:1 Cup( Seedless)
- Hung Curd( You may use Normal Unsweetened Yoghurt too):2 Table Spoon
- Chilled Low Fat Milk:1/4 Cup( I used chilled water only to minimize the calorie)
- Zero Calorie Sugar: Less than 1/2 tsp.( You may avoid it too).
Process:
Blend it using a mixer blender and serve. I served it with a dollop of vanilla ice cream for my little one.

Mango Milkshake is my all time favourite drink specially in Summer. It's very simple and easy to make yet very refreshing and energetic too.
Here is the process:
Ingredients:
- Mango Pulp: 1 Cup
- Milk( Chilled): 2 Cups
- Sugar(Preferably Powder Sugar): 2-3 tbsp.(Or As per your choice)
- Vanilla Ice Cream: 2 Scoops
- Ice cubes: 2-4( optional)
- Chopped Cashews/Saffron Strands: A few
Process:
- Add the mango pulp, milk, sugar, ice cream, ice cubes and blend until very smooth.
- You may add little more milk if it becomes too thick. But make sure that the milk is chilled, until it may curdle.
- Pour it in glasses and garnish with chopped cashews and saffron strands and serve immediately.

Summer is almost here and there is a scorching sunlight outside.During this season,the best way to keep the body cool , is to drink lots of water and juices.In these days,I really remain worried about my daughter,because after the school hours when she comes to home,she really looks very exhausted and tired and moreover,she doesnt want to drink enough water.
Therefore sometimes,specailly after the school hours I like to give her some refreshing drink which not only helps to keep her body cool,but also enhances energy and provide some nutrients as well.
This Banana Berry shake is a very easy preparation which requires a minimum fuss inside the kitchen.As strawberries are still availbe in the market and this is my daughter's most favourite fruit,I made Banana Strawberry Shake for her.
Here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 cup chopped strawberries
- 1 very ripe banana,peeled and chopped
- 1 cup chilled unsweetened yoghurt
- 1/2 cup vanilla icecream
- 2 tbsp straeberry crush
- 2 tbsp sugar(or as you want)
- 4-5 ice cubes.
Process:
- In a mixer put all the ingredients together and blend until smooth.
- Serve immediately.
